Parents of a five-year-old girl were given the shock of their lives after they caught a 13-year-old boy forcefully having s*x with their daughter.
A 13-year-old boy has left many people in shock after he was caught defiling a 5-year-old girl. The boy identified as Adetimehin Adeniyi has been remanded at Oregun Children’s Correctional Centre, over alleged defilement of a neighbour’s five-year-old daughter.
Police Prosecutor, Sgt. Ibijoke Akinpelu, told the court that the accused committed the offence on May 30 at about 5.00 p.m. at No. 23, Fakorede St., Somolu, Lagos. Akinpelu revealed that the five-year-old girl’s mother, who was busy with her younger son, asked a neighbour to help watch the minor while she was playing outside.
They were shocked to discover that Adetimehin had grabbed the little girl into his parents’ one-room apartment where he was caught forcefully having s*x with the minor. The offence, Akinpelu noted, contravened Section 137 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
The Chief Magistrate, Mrs A.F. Adeeyo, directed the prosecution to forward the case file to the Office of the State Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for advice. Adeeyo also granted the accused a N400,000 bail with two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case till July 7.
